Our Moment · Our Amanah

A trust placed
in our hands

An amanah is something entrusted to us — something we will be asked about. Our voice, our vote, and our place in this country are exactly that.

As Muslims and as citizens, we have an obligation to strengthen our communities, stand for justice, and participate fully in public life. Muslim Americans are gaining real political momentum, even as others work to silence our voices and stand in the way of our progress. With a major election year ahead, this banquet will explore how we can lean into this moment, fulfill our civic amanah, and organize to make our voices heard.

Questions

Is the food halal?

Yes. Dinner is catered by Olive & Lime, whose kitchen is entirely halal. If you require a vegetarian or vegan meal, or if you have a food allergy, please write to info@cair-ohio.com ahead of the event so the kitchen can prepare for you.

Will there be space for prayer?

Yes. The Makoy Center has a large room set aside for prayer, and we have used it for congregational prayer at previous banquets without difficulty.

May I bring my family?

Please do. A child enrichment program will run alongside the evening, and tickets for children ages five through eleven are $15. Families of every size are welcome.

Where do I park?

The Makoy Center has a spacious lot directly in front of the entrance. Parking is free.

Is the venue accessible?

Yes — the building is wheelchair accessible throughout. If you need any other accommodation, please write to info@cair-ohio.com and we will make arrangements.
