Ain’t Afraid
Ain’t Afraid is a music duo-group based out of Detroit, Michigan. The talented twin sisters, otherwise known as Inah and Yazi, made their debut in the summer of 2020 and exploded in online popularity in less than a year. Their repertoire blends the genres of modern pop, hip-hop, neo-soul, and R&B and they credit their inspiration to many artists including the likes of Lauryn Hill and Beyonce.
Passionate about their craft, Ain’t Afraid utilize their talents in songwriting, rapping, fashion and more. The duo reflects commitment to advocacy and empowerment in their music, in the hopes of representing their community and family on the global stage. They have been featured in Vogue Arabia, Mission Magazine, and GQ Middle East.

Lupe Fiasco
Wasalu Muhammad Jaco, known as Lupe Fiasco, is a rapper, producer, and activist. A Grammy Award winning Chicago based artist, Lupe Fiasco began his career in 2005, and debuted his first studio album in 2006. Outside of his career as a musician, Fiasco pursues other ventures in fashion and philanthropy.
Fiasco credits Jay-Z, Nas, fellow Muslim rapper Q-Tip, and many more, as his inspiration. He is known as one of the instrumental artists to pioneer “conscious hip-hop” and making the primary subject of his work pertinent social issues. Fiasco is known for his lyrical style and centering on important subjects related to his community, his relationship with his faith and social resistance. Presently, Fiasco is a visiting scholar at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Sadiyah Bashir
Sadiyah Bashir is a poet and freelance writer. Her work has been widely showcased in media including in outlets such as Al-Jazeera, UNICEF and The Independent. Her debut book, titled “Seven,” explores her experiences as a young adult and navigating her life as a Black Muslim woman. Her poetry centers on the complexities of growing up in America and finding the strength to express oneself. Bashir is also a two-time youth Grand Slam champion.
