(COLUMBUS, OHIO 9/2/2021) – On Monday, August 23, Tuesday, August 24, and Wednesday, August 25, the Ohio Redistricting Commission held public hearings in Cleveland, Cincinnati, and Toledo. CAIR-Ohio Hosts Community Dinner with Dayton Mercy Society
(DAYTON, OHIO 08/31/2021) – On Friday, Aug. 27, the Ohio Chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Ohio) hosted a community dinner at the Dayton Mercy Society in Miamisburg, Ohio. Community members gathered for good food and conversation and learned about CAIR-Ohio’s work.
Around 60 people attended the event and met CAIR-Ohio Executive Director Romin Iqbal, as well as members of CAIR-Ohio’s outreach and legal teams. CAIR-Ohio publications such as An Employer’s Guide to Islamic Religious Practices, Educator’s Guide, Healthcare Provider’s Guide, Know Your Rights guides and more were available for community members to take home.
CAIR-Ohio will be hosting a community cookout at Clifton Mosque in Cincinnati on Sept. 12 and a community picnic at the Islamic Center of Mason on Sept. 18. Stay up to date with our events by following us on Facebook and Instagram.

CAIR-Ohio Joins Affordable Housing Fair for Franklin County Residents
(COLUMBUS, OHIO 8/19/2021) – On Sunday, August 15, 2021, the Ohio chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Ohio) participated in the Affordable Housing Fair at the Linden Community Center which was hosted by the Franklin County Auditor. The purpose of the event was to create a connected environment for community members that helps build a socially equitable city. As a participant organization, CAIR-Ohio shared resources on religious accommodations and legal services with Franklin County community members.
