CAIR-Ohio's Redistricting Campaign
In 2021, Ohio began a critical redistricting process by which new congressional and state legislative district lines are drawn. It is imperative that Ohio Muslim voters are not left out, split up, or ignored in these new district maps. A fair and transparent redistricting process will ensure that minority voices, like Ohio Muslims, will not be weakened through gerrymandering. That’s why CAIR-Ohio has been advocating for fair maps and mobilizing the Muslim community as a proud member of the Ohio Citizens’ Redistricting Commission, Equal Districts Coalition, and the Equal Districts – Grassroots Mobilization Subcommittee.
